COMIC GENIUS EVENT

Last night I attended an amazing event, the photography show for Matt Hoyle's new book "COMIC GENIUS: PORTRAITS OF FUNNY PEOPLE"...it was a benefit for the SaveTheChildren Foundation and it was SO much fun. I bought a copy of the book then and there, and you MUST order a copy however you can online!

(with GENIUS photographer MATT HOYLE)

I was most excited to meet Dick Van Dyke, for I just finished his book and was so excited to get to thank him in person. I told him how much I appreciated him sharing his story, and how much I learned from his life experience. I was naughty and bid on his featured photo, as well as Bette Midlers.

THE WONDER HAS NEVER GONE AWAY

Just found my first recording ever...I was 8 years old and sang on Timothy Schmit's record. (Timothy plays bass in The Eagles).
I have never forgotten that early thrill of being in a recording studio, I remember looking around in wonder at the equipment, the microphones, and singing as loud as I could because it felt so FREE. (and I wanted to be heard above everyone else, let's be honest) THANK YOU TIMOTHY FOR MY VERY FIRST TASTE OF BEING A MUSICIAN, IT IS A GIFT YOU GAVE ME, AND THE WONDER HAS NEVER GONE AWAY.

R.I.P. David 'Kidd' Kraddick...Thank you for your kindness to me on the radio

During my National radio touring for my first radio single, I went on-air with Kidd Kraddick. I went to SO many cities during that time, I cannot possibly remember WHERE it was that we had our interviews. But I do strongly remember he was such a lovely guy, very kind to me and an unforgettable spirit. I am sad to hear he passed suddenly, and I am grateful I got to work with him. Thank you David for your support of my music, and for your contribution to music and radio!

TO HONESTLY LIVE

"To live, to honestly live, is very painful. My sister has never lived. She denies her ghosts and monsters, even though they're the most interesting thing about her. She distracts herself by cleaning things and having babies. I was about to say that my sister, because she doesn't confront life, isn't in pain. But she is. Of course she is. She's in agony. The difference between you and her is she's in dumb agony. She doesn't admit to it, and her heart is stupid about it. So I guess the point is that everything is painful, so why not be honest about the pain?"
